SaaS checkout
Qomit
As part of my work at Qomit (formerly Tapbuy), I had the opportunity to think through, prototype, test and support through development various components, such as a module for selecting a specific delivery day and time.
Gift card module redesign
The original component was presented as a radio button, like all the delivery and payment options. Most other sites do not present a gift card this way, and it confused users (Jakob’s Law).
So we replaced the radio button with a dedicated input and a button on the right, to give this component the display and behavior users expect.
Also, in a list, a radio button should be a single choice and not a multiple one, which added to the confusion.
Product editing modal redesign
Without having to leave the checkout
The original modal showed a very small image, so users could hardly review the product they had selected to be sure of their choice.
We also grouped the edit, delete and confirm actions to follow a logical order: product image and titles, attributes, quantity selection, confirmation.
